Kristian K
Kristian K is a one man musicproject. I guess you can say that my interest in electronic musicstarted very long ago. My first electronic discovery was Kraftwerk.Band/Artists that i like is, Autechre, Aphex Twin, Richard Devine, Arovane, Cari Lekebusch andmany many other artists. All i can say is that i love music. The cool thing about electronic musicis that you can do so much with just a computer and a keyboard.I can spend hours at a time in front of my computer just listening to different sounds from my synths.Sometime in the future i would like to make a record, i guess it will be done when the time is right.I have´nt played my electronic music live yet, but i have played live with many other bands, such as The Insalubrious.

Kirlian Camera
was founded by the keyboardist/vocalist Angelo Bergamini in Parma (Italy) in Spring 1980. The band really was born in 1979, called Suicide Commando, but this name was dropped for the existance of a namesake band. So, when Bergamini started to interest to paranormal phenomena, he knew about a special device invented by Semion Kirlian to make photos of an aura of the human body and from this took the name of the group, suggested by Mauro Montacchini.Other initial components of the band were the keyboardist Fabrizio Chiari and the bassist Mauro Montacchini. In 1980 the singer Simona Buja joined the band and the group was completed. The first live apparition was in 1980 at Teatro Cristallo in Milan (Italy). Considered the Fathers of the Italian Electronic Music, the long career of Kirlian Camera started recording and sending 25 copies of the Dawn tape to the main Italian labels. Contemporary, Montacchini left the band and he was replaced by Giorgio Vecchi. So the band records the first miniLP Kirlian Camera, released by Italian Records.New changes of line-up in 1982: Fabrizio Chiari left the band to join East Wall, and his substitute is the polistrumentist Paul Sears, while Bruno Bizzarri replaced Vecchi. Meanwhile some records for various labels follow (note that Passing Masks was released under the name of Simona Buja because the band was still contracted with Italian Records) and finally the first full-length LP, "It Doesn't Matter, Now", from which will be out two singles. The official line-up is then Bergamini credited as keyboardist/writer and Sears that performs synths and bass. However present are the bassist Paolo Marchesi, and the producer/drummer (in a track) Charlie Mallozzi. After this work, line-up changes again and together with the guide Angelo Bergamini and Paul Sears comes back Simona Buja as vocalist and the bassist Bizzarri. Furthermore, the electronic drummer Piero Canavera and the unofficial guitarist Renato Ollivo join the band. It follows the hit-single Blue Room that gives a lot of popularity to the group in Europe, and some contrast inside: Paul Sears left the band, and with the new-entry producer/drummer Charlie Mallozzi (already present in "It Doesn't Matter, Now") begins the sodalice with the new label, Virgin Music. The band gained a lot of popularity and even TV appearances, especially in Italy. But this label tried to repeat the exploit of the previous single, refusing to release not-commercial material (like the entire materials then released in 1995 on 1985-1986 / I), and promoting possible hit-singles like Ocean and releasing Heldenplatz only thanks to the insistance of Bergamini. While Simona Buja left the band, Kirlian Camera finally free from Virgin's contract releases the second LP, "Eclipse Das Schwarze Denkmal", preceded by Austria single. The line-up for this album is particulary consistent, and comprises the momentary return of Montacchini. The very important changing happens after some year, with the joining of vocalist Emilia Lo Jacono (also keyboardist), who becomes the second permanent member together of course with Bergamini, who always plays more instruments. For the independent label of Lo Jacono, Heaven's Gate, it's released in 1991 the third LP called "Todesengel The Fall Of Life" that obtains good sales, permitting the band to continue its travel. So, with the new permanent member Simon Balestrazzi, (percussions, guitar programming), the band releases an impressive amount of records, principally licensed by Discordia (The Label). These records often present contributions by other musicians, and sometimes Kirlian Camera collaborates with entire other groups, like Andromeda Complex, Dive and :Wumpscut:In parallel, the live activity was born and improved. In fact, apart Italy, the band often plays gigs in Germany and near countries like Austria, Switzerland and Holland, and its popularity grew. Many tours happen especially in Germany, like the tour in Summer 1993 with Mephisto Waltz (Nigra Nebula as supporter), and the "Dark X'Mas Festival" mini-tour at the end of that year with Dive, Die Form, Cat Rapes Dog and so on. Very intense are also the "Total Eclipse Tour" in 1995 with Second Decay as supporter, followed by the "Obsession Tour" to promote the split work with Dive, together with Dive itself and the supporter Arcana Obscura, in Germany and Belgium. But it's to promote Pictures For Eternity that the band plays their best gigs, during the 1996 "Eternity Tour" in Germany and Austria, supported by Limbo, and during the "Pictures '97 Tour" in 1997, that reachs also Holland (supported by Camerata Mediolanense). In 1997 there is another important line-up changing: Balestrazzi drops out, and Barbara Boffelli (vocals) and Ivano Bizzi (keyboards, already sporadic collaborator that soon won't play in band but continue to rotate around the group) join. Follow a pair of long miniCDs like "The Desert Inside" and "Drifting" and a long waited double retrospective ("The Ice Curtain") that permits to hear what Kirlian Camera played almost two decades before. After other concerts (like a Germany tour in Spring 1998 and even a Slovenia mini-tour), an incredible event happened: Germany press, the famous newspaper "Der Spiegel", throws racism accusation against the band (also against Death In June and Non), inviting the followers to boicottate the gigs and the band itself. So, in the successive single "The Burning Sea", Bergamini and the rest of Kirlian Camera were forced to insert a CD-ROM video that in absolute silence explains the absurdity and the lack of fundament of these accusations, moved by astute persons that try to control people with deceive for own interests (like the research of a scandal to improve the printing of their magazines/newspapers).Of course the promotion of the following album "Unidentified Light" was condizionated by these unfortunate events and during the Unidentified Light Tour the band was forced sometimes to obey at the rules of the "politically correct" eye.
In 2000 again a new line-up change. The official formation includes of course Bergamini and Emilia Lo Jacono, but Barbara Boffelli drops out. She is replaced by Elena Fossi, already credited for Unidentified Light. The next work was called "Still Air" and sees Kirlian Camera returning to the oppressive and chilly atmospheres of a past time, obtaining enthusiastic reviews everywhere. Unfortunatly some bad events continued, like the very unfortunate gig organized at Kassel (Germany) by Thaglasz, the Death In June fan-club, where the band was forced to play outside the factory where was projected the concert.2000 however was a rich year for the band, because a very ambitious project was realized (and released the year after), a box called Kalte Container that is the right tribute for the 20 years of a band so little understood and always criticized with no real reasons. Meanwhile a new miniCD called "Absentee", that reachs full-lenght album timing, was released by this three-elements formation and presented as the ideal companion of "Still Air", for many it's even better. In 2002 a series of re-releases is announced to allow many Kirlian Camera fans to get unfindable material. The most important of this is surely Uno that features, after 22 years of existence, the first demo and the first 12".This year sees also the rising of many side-project releases, the most important are surely Stalingrad, the project of Angelo Bergamini, Elena Fossi and Ivano Bizzi, and Siderartica, Elena Fossi band with the help of Andrea Savelli and her brother Andrea Fossi.Meanwhile lots of attacks come toward the band, the usual pseudo anti-nazi propaganda, that causes some concert deletation and various boring events.Amilia Lo Jacono becomes a collaborator of the band due her charge of work. At the beginning of 2003 Mauro Montacchini, older co-founder of the band, joins again Kirlian Camera, whose line-up then sees also Angelo Bergamini and Elena Fossi, while live line-up sees alternatively also Emilia Lo Jacono, Nancy Appiah, Roberta Astolfo (also known as Leutha), the new entry Lydia Dumfeh and the previous singer Barbara Boffelli. Later, Mia Karin Egger joins too. Moreover, the band self-releases the first official live disc called Live In London, taken from a shocking concert in London in November 2003, as a special limited edition available at the concerts only. After so many line-up changes, especially concerning live act, at the beginning of 2004 the band seems to reach a definitive studio formation: Angelo Bergamini and Elena Fossi of course, with the addition of Simone Mulè coming from "La Fille Biaise". But this year will be remembered due the release of the masterpiece "Invisible Front". 2005, album waited since three years that sees collaborations with Naevus, Jarboe and so on, and represents a new era for the band, as well as "Still Air" already traced the beginning. With the powerful German label Trisol behind, this album sold something like 11,000 copies in about a month, and quickly became one of the most appreciated ever. Most of the 2005 was spent into isolated but successful gigs along the Europe. Greece, Denmark, Italy, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Holland saw perfomances of Kirlian Camera and/or Siderartica/Stalingrad, as well as a new creature, the solo-project of Angelo Bergamini called Uranium USSR 1972.
Meanwhile, always more insistent voices spoke about a follow-up of Invisible Front, 2005. Finally, after a live preview of the new album held in Prato in October 2005, on the end of January 2006 the new amazing record saw the light. Called "Coroner's Sun", the first limited edition (including a full-length Bonus CD with exclusive material) was declared sold-out just after few days since the release
KAIAPHAS
is an ebm/futurepop/dark electro project from Brazil, formed by DJ Zhyin. The sound also has strong elements of trance, techno, and industrial. Both light and darkness are  represented in the sonic spectrum of the project. There is also a good balance between soft and harsh male and female vocals.Long before venturing into the world of electronic music, Dj Zhyin had already been a drummer and vocalist for several underground rock and metal bands. He got his big break in 95, when he was asked to join the famous Norwegian black metal band, ANCIENT, as their frontman and studio drummer. From this point on, his professional music career began and Zhyin was finally able to fulfill his adolescent dreams of metal glory. At this time, he was known as the evil LORD KAIAPHAS.Vampiric facepaint, custom made fangs, black pvc/leather, chains, spikes, medieval weaponry, and fake blood had become the order of the day. With ANCIENT, Zhyin appeared in 2 full length cds (released thru metal blade records), 3 videos, and performed in 2 extensive European tours as well as some chaotic gigs in America. In 98, he left the band and began exploring new musical universes.5 years later, Zhyin had become an experienced psy trance dj and developing computer music producer. In 2003, he started his new electronic project, KAIAPHAS, with his friend, Victor Salles in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Previously,Victor had played guitar in local metal bands.Sometime later, the band acquired a female singer,T.A.T.I. Her colorful presence and personality added a new spark to the project. From 2004 to 2005 KAIAPHAS performed a good handful of gigs in Brazil in cities such as Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo and Curitiba. The response was always good and with each gig the band gained new fans. During this time , an underground demo cd was produced by a good friend of the band, dj Kerberos. In the beginning of 2006, Zhyin invited the Russian, Lady Omega, into the band. She had already written some lyrics for the band prior to her joining.A year before meeting Zhyin, Lady Omega had sung on one of the songs from ANCIENT’S “Night Visit” cd released in 2004.Coincidently, Zhyin had also made a guest appearance on that same album.Sometime in the near future, Zhyin and Lady Omega will move to Europe, where they plan to continue with KAIAPHAS. Therefore, Victor and T.A.T.I. will no longer be able to be involved with the band.On may 13th  2006, KAIAPHAS played their best gig at the annual THORNS GOTHIC RAVE in Sao Paulo, alongside gothic legends, CLAN OF XYMOX.This show was the first to feature session guitarist, Lienhard. So far, it has been the best crowd response that KAIAPHAS ever received in a gig.The next show of KAIAPHAS will be 25th of August in Rio De Janeiro.Kaiaphas

Darrel W. Hughes first discovered alternative electronic music at the age of 11 in 1981, when friends introduced him to the music of FAD GADGET,THOMAS DOLBY,VISAGE,ULTRAVOX,KRAFTWERK,THE HUMAN LEAGUE, JOHN FOXX,BILL NELSON,amongst many others at that time.Darrel soon wanted to learn more about this type of alternative dark electronic pop music style. So over the next couple of years found himself searching further into international music scenes in the hunt to discover the many new artists and bands that were working in this music genre. At the same time Darrel got into the electronic instrument revolution, and became very interested in synthesizers, drum machines, early sampling technology, etc.By the age of 15 in 1985, Darrel had discovered a huge number of artists and bands from a very wide international circle; LUCIFER'S FRIEND,FIAT LUX,BORGESHIA,HARD CORPS,DEPECHE  MODE,SISTERS OF MERCY,SPK,KILLING JOKE,NEW ORDER, CABARET VOLTAIRE,HEAVEN 17,FASHION,PAUL HAIG,MATT JOHNSON,PETE SHELLEY,23 SKIDOO,PROPAGANDA,TEST DEPT,to name just a few.In 1985, Darrel had also started composing his own tracks on a modest midi studio set-up.  This was a time when Darrel got into programming analogue and digital synthesizers at quite a depth, as he was exceptional at distinctive sound design.By 1987, Darrel had begun composing simple instrumental tracks; the set up he had was quite limited due to it only being a hobby at the time. Due to the huge cost of equipment and Darrel only just starting his working life, funds did play a big part in being able to acquire new equipment. Then in December 1990, after going to see DEPECHE MODE at Birmingham N.E.C. on their World Violation Tour, Darrel decided it was time to get into the
music scene at a much deeper level. On a visit to his local hi-tech equipment store Darrel met a guy called Matt,he later gave a demo of the Roland R8 drum machine and Yamaha SY77,a short Industrial HardBeat instrumental was composed in minutes, Darrel found that technology had come of age, at a price that didn’t require you to sell your soul.Darrel also went to see several other live shows of progressive bands at that time NITZER EBB,FRONT 242,CABARET VOLTAIRE,ORBITAL.After the CABARET VOLTAIRE show Darrel met up with Stephen Mallinder for a chat with the living legend. At this point Darrel became a friend of Matt Culpin, who was also looking to secure a record deal for his own Dark-HardBeat-Pop duo STRUKCHA based in Leicester, England.1990-1991 Darrel studied all he could about music technology and the music industry in general, reading everything he could get his hands on regarding studio recording, the music business, the legal side of the industry, and the artistic. From this time Darrel continued to learn every aspect of the music business on an international level.In 1991 several instrumental tracks composed by Darrel under the guise of VOLTOID were released by Magazine’s on their cover tapes or by label’s such as MIND SCAN,IMPULSE.As VOLTOID, Darrel was composing Industrial Rave tracks.By early 1992 Darrel decided it was time to make a project with vocals and a song structure.RED SEKTA had its debut track Torture released on IMPULSE Music Magazine cover tape. In general, it was reviewed as the best track to feature on the compilation tape. At this point Darrel also began to work as an engineer at Reflex Studio based in Nottingham.RED SEKTA was to become Darrel's main project, with a sound that was a fusion hybrid of Industrial-Dark-Hard-Pop-Futurist-Techno-EBM.
July 1992 - April 1993, Darrel spent his time developing his own sound and recording songs-tracks for a debut RED SEKTA CD EP on his own label NEUROGENIK TRANSMISSIONS.In July 1993 RED SEKTA Light From Darkness CD EP was released on the NT label. The debut RED SEKTA CD EP had radio airplay in over 40 countries, over 300 radio stations broadcasted the tracks from Light From Darkness CD EP.Over 400 international music magazines in over 50 countries wrote news headlines, features, reviews and interviews regarding RED SEKTA.Other labels from all over the world sent requests for RED SEKTA tracks for their upcoming CD compilation albums.Rather than send compilation tracks out, Darrel decided to start recording songs-tracks for the debut RED SEKTA CD album. With such a huge response Darrel decided it would be too much to make the music and co-ordinate the label, distribution, promotion as well as maintain a full time job at the same time. Therefore, on the success of the RED SEKTA Light From Darkness CD EP,in December 1993, Darrel approached several European record labels with a view to secure a deal. Many made offers, however Celtic Circle Productions had suggested the best offer and requested tracks for impending CCP label DCD compilations.June 1994 was the first time Darrel jetted out to Germany to meet and sign with Celtic Circle Productions.Alfred Kaenders, was a great host and made Darrel feel very much at home
in Germany.CCP in October 1994 released the debut 16 track RED SEKTA CD album Anodize CD. Anodize featured a Dark-HardBeat remix of DEPECHE MODE’s Fly On The Windscreen, and a Techno-Pop remix of FAD GADGET’s Love Parasite. The artwork for Anodize was a collaboration between Dominik Van Reich of the cult German Satanic-Neo-Classical-Dark-EBM band YELWORC.However, at the time Dominik was just starting his solo project AMGOD.The Celtic Circle Sampler Vol.02 was released in August 1994, it featured the RED SEKTA track Dream Demon.  The CCP Vol.2 DCD compilation also featured 29 other international artists & bands. Also for this release Darrel, working under the guise of SURGEON, did a remix of ID.1D6 for AIBOFORCEN, a Dark-Techno-EBM duo from Belgium. The vocalist Seba Dolimont of AIBOFORCEN is also the editor of SIDE-LINE music magazine based in Belgium, the bible of the alternative electronic scenes worldwide. The remix was recorded in Germany at CCP’s TIME SOUND STUDIO.Later that day Darrel, Seba and Benoit travelled together by car to attend the CCP 4th Nights Of Darkness Festival, bands that performed included;YELWORC,PROVOKING NOISE,DER PRAGER HANDGRIFF,PARACONT,AMGOD,PAGE 12,DIVE,PIERREPOINT,PLASTIC NOISE EXPERIENCE.Before and during the concert Darrel met up with most of the bands for drinks and interesting discussions, furthermore he also got introduced to SUICIDE COMMANDO,RED BADGE OF COURAGE,FUZE BOX MACHINE amongst many others. At this point CCP asked Darrel if he would co-ordinate the UK division of CCP, due to his experience in marketing & promotion.  Darrel had promotion pool contacts of over 600 international music magazines and 400 international radio stations. CCP wanted to utilise this huge promotional database Darrel had built up since 1991.As Darrel was now also running the A&R office for CCP in the UK, he was directly in talks with the bands and artists;KABUKI,CUT 2023,NEW MIND,BIO-TEK,GUNHEAD,PSKOTROPIK,METRA-TRON,PRO PATRIA, NEX2US, PH-1,LOST.IT.COM,ENEMY ALLIANCE,ZOS=KIA,CYBER-TEC PROJECT, INERTIA,SECOND VOICE,NEUROACTIVE,ELECTRO ASSASIN, to name just a few.Joakim Montelius and Eskil Simonsson of COVENANT were also in contact with Darrel when they almost signed to CCP.A second artwork edition of the RED SEKTA Anodize CD album was also created by MADESIGN, the new artwork division of CCP, the 2nd edition was released in May 1995.Ronan Harris from VNV NATION looking for a new publishing deal possibly with CCP gave Darrel a call just prior to VNV NATION signing to the German label DISCORDIA.Richard Silverthorn of MESH was also in direct contact with Darrel.June 1995, Darrel endured a 4.5 hour train journey to Edinburgh, to spend the day with Scotland's premier electronic masterminds FINITRIBE.Dave, Phil and John were great hosts, Dave and Darrel went to a local pub for a few beers and a good long chat about the FINITRIBE career, releases. Then back to the FINIFLEX Studios to watch some exclusive new FINITRIBE video promos at that time, LOVE ABOVE, BRAND NEW.After spending all day with the guys Darrel caught the train home with almost every release ever made by FINITRIBE as a thank you gift from the band, including video promos and releases by other artists FINITRIBE were working with on their own FINIFLEX RECORDS label.Invited to a SHINING gig in Nottingham at the Rock City venue Darrel got to catch up with ex-vocalist of STRUKCHA, John Bagguley now teamed up with Julian Beeston (NITZER EBB) and Steve White (PIG) to form SHINING.Darrel had been in contact with John for a few years and had visited John and Joolz (Julian) at their recording studio and synthesizer company DIN in south London on many occasions. Also at Din Studios, Darrel met and had a few beers with Marc Almond (SOFT CELL),Tony James (THE SISTERS OF MERCY),Neil X (SIGUE SIGUE SPUTNIK).July 1995, Darrel met up with Julian Beeston Ex-NITZER EBB member,as Joolz had just started a new band SHINING.Under the guise of SURGEON, Darrel did several remixes for SHINING,the tracks were from their Debut album Din.In August 1995 the Celtic Circle Sampler Vol.03 was released it featured the RED SEKTA track Demolition Man (Judge Dredd Hammer Fist Remix). This track was a remix from the Anodize album.  Both mixes actually got a lot of airplay in Planet Hollywood in London. The CCP Vol.3 DCD compilation also featured 27 other international artists & bands.July 1995, Darrel begin's working on a new side project: PANZER.With a concept of fusing EBM with TECHNO to create a hybrid that would create TECHNO-BODY-MUSIC (TBM).Darrel working under the guise of PANZER was also featured on the CCP Vol.3 DCD compilation with the track Malevolent Force (Intensify Mix). This track was the debut PANZER track from the planned debut PANZER CD album Dark Sentinel.Autumn 1995 as SURGEON, Darrel also remixed PAGE 12’s Shizo World taken from their debut CD album The Violence Of Truth. The SURGEON remix was titled Shizo World (Our-Time-Remix), and was released on the PAGE 12 Decline CD-EP, and was released by CCP.In August 1996 and RED SEKTA attended PopKomm the International Music Convention in Germany. Here Darrel met up with many other bands,ABSENT MINDED,PARACONT,SLEEPWALK,PAGE 12,IONIC VISION,AXONAL WARFARE,CYCLOON, IBOFORCEN,YELWORC,EVIL SERMON,PUTREFY FACTOR 7,THE AMP,PANIC ON THE TITANIC,THE DUST OF THE BASEMENT,PIERREPOINT,CRADLE OF SPOIL,DIVE,THE HOUSE OF USHER,amongst many others. Also in August 1996, CCP released their Celtic Circle Sampler Vol.4 and presented it at PopKomm 1996.The CCP Vol.4 D-CD compilation featured the CCP anthem RED SEKTA track Circle Of Fire (Halloween Remix). And also featured 27 other international artists & bands.Darrel was working 16 hours a day in the studio recording and running the CCP UK office, his recording time was being replaced with global promotion of RED SEKTA, PANZER & SURGEON.And the UK & USA promotion of all the other artist at CCP and their side-label KHAZAD DUM.Darrel had also started his own promotion company CYBERNET EXPOSURE,working with other labels in the global Industrial,EBM,Dark-Techno-Pop scenes.Darrel was promoting a total of 60 artists & bands.Recording new material was getting harder to fit in to the schedule, due to so many other commitments. So many things were possible, Darrel tried to do it all, but things started to suffer in the end. At this point Darrel decided to leave CCP, and just concentrate on his own music and promotion, having studied a lot since 1991,he decided to go it alone again.The 8 track RED SEKTA mini-album SEIZURE was released in December 1996 by Neurogenik Transmissions.June 1997, RED SEKTA Light From Darkness Remix CD EP is released via Neurogenik Transmissions.October 1997,RED SEKTA Zealous drenalux Fusions CD album was released on Neurogenik Transmissions, and promoted worldwide via Cybernet Exposure. The new album was a logical evolution in RED SEKTA’s own style of sound formula.14th February 1998,due to Darrel having been introduced to certain young woman, all things musical slowly came to a halt.Neurogenik Transmissions released RED SEKTA Strike To The Body CD Single in March 1998.Followed in August 1998 by the release of RED SEKTA Plasma Surge CD Album.Darrel, still pushing the dark RS sound development further into blackness. As the next few months passed,Darrel found he could no longer give anything near the time needed to progress with RED SEKTA and maintain the close relationship he now found himself in!.By November 1998, Darrel decided to settle down and recoil from the music world, due to being engaged to a woman that wanted a regular life and his 100% attention. Here musically, there was a nothing more than the darkness of a black void.Until 15th November 1999,when Darrel had found himself again, only afterlosing himself in a downward spiral of falling for the wrong woman. After six months of getting back into the worldwide activity of various music genre’s, Darrel was ready for a new beginning.June 2000,Darrel began a new project,KRUSAFIX.His aim was to create a band with a sound that assimilated the best elements of Progressive-Industrial,EBM,Dark-Techno,Cyber-Gothic,Hard-Beat,Epic-Trance,Electro,Cyber-Metal,Industrial Drum & Bass,Rave,Dark-Wave,Neo-Classical,Avant Garde music genres and create a unique complex fusion, the KRUSAFIX system of sonic genesi
