Do you follow the electronic music scene, do you have any other favourite bands?

AWIlum could you please shortly introduce our readers your music project AWIlum
We are a E.B.M band from barcelona.We started a year ago when victor lost his work and went to his parents house. All we want with this project its kick off the politicians and his economic politics.
Please fill also a biographical resume about how,when and where...give us a more background information?
Awilum its our first E.B.M project. After both have a solitary projects of electronic music ( old coroner, raised phantom. visit both myspace ). We knew the old classics but one day weīve found turnbull acīs and spetsnaz in myspace and we decided thatīs the fucking music we want to make. For us E.B.M is a music style and a way to discharge adrenaline.
How did you start to make EBM and what is EBM for you?

What and who are some of your influences in EBM?
Our influences are: Front 242,Nitzer ebb,Die warzau,Bigod 20,F.L.A,Skinny puppy,Pouppe fabrikk,Spetsnaz,Turnbull Acīs,Spark! and more...

We are influenced for too many kindīs of music: Punk Rock,HardCore,Psichobilly,Nothern soul,Pop,Big band jazz, Electronic music,Etc

Do you have a favourite track and album?
We canīt choose a track and album..... ITīS IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!! There are too many to choose one.
So tell me a bit more about yourself, such as musical?
Victor played guitar in punk and hardcore bands.After he started to be a dj of so much styles of electronic music and then he started to be a music composer and producer.
Eduard played bass in a punk band. after he started to sing in a hardcore band and then he was a dj and producer.

What is the main idea, the message you want to leave to people who listens to you?
" AMB NOSALTRES ELS QUE VULGUIN CONTRA NOSALTRES ELS QUE PUGUIN " This motto is write in catalan, our mother language. It means " with us who will want against us who will can".( We think so)
What is your motto?

Whats the name of your band? Whats the origin of that name?
The band name is AWILUM. Awilum was a word used in the ancient babylon to designate a FREE CITIZEN.
Have you changed the bands name before?
No.
where did the concept come from? and whats planned now that your album is finished? or anything else you're working on? Tell us a few words about the concept of this?
We are working on 4 new tracks and we hope it just finished at the end of january. also we are talking with technomader for to share remixes.
When's the new album coming out?
We are waiting the end of the world to start the promotional tour...
How is the current promotional tour going for supporting this album?
We are working on 4 new tracks in the moment, yes
What do you think of a modern, EBM and about EBM scene?
We think is the fucking greatest thing in the world it makes us happy.Today E.B.M is living a revival due to myspace.
Our usual question - what is EBM for you?
Itīs a way to burn adrenaline and our fustrations.
What was your best live experience so far?
Victor: when he played punk rock he makes a tour with a swedish band (Randy) all around spain.
Eduard: One day in a live concert he canīt sang because the abuse of amphetamine.

Victor now works as a gardener but he is soundtechnician. He is music composer and producer, mixer, lyrics, bass programmer and live drums.
Eduard now is unenployed. He sings,lyrics and additional editing and programming.
What are your views on the current state of this EBM scene in Barcelona/Catalunya Suriname.in terms of creativity and audiences? And the scene in other countries?
Actually there are only two bands; TECHNOMADER & AWILUM. The E.B.M scene is small around the world maybe we think in sweden learns E.B.M in school. (ja,ja,ja)

Buff, Its very complicated jajajajajajajajaj
How does your music creation process work? How do you create a song?
Well, the first songs was a test. All has started as a joke but we learn too much. Now we have practice hall and just finishing the build on studio. we have three steps: first we make
pre-production at home with the laptop,after we go to practice hall and then we end the work in studio.We are looking for and testing different people to mastering.
What genre of music do you consider your work to be?
PURE ELECTRONIC!!!
Who are your major influences?
Here itīs too much difficult.
Since the music industry is more open now to purely electronic music has this made things easier for you?
The fucking reality.
So what are their main influences as a band at the moment?
We donīt know

What is currently inspiring your material as an artist? tell me all about the EBM scene of Barcelona?
LA INSPIRACIO ES COSA DE CADA PERSONA The scene in Barcelona is very little!
Do you think that people from the music press didn't expect you to grow up musically?
we are not in a hurry if it must pass something passed jajajaj
what is the key to making music from AWIlum and what inspires you to keep growing as a musician?
to have much patience and never to leave
as much in the life as in music, never to leave

Downloads itīs positive for the small bands.
What are the best ways to develop it in your mind?
Sex,violence, alcohol and fc.barcelona! jajajajajajajajajjajajajjaajajaja (edu).
If there was one thing you want people to know about your band what would that be?
We are MUSICIANS.No talking man or fashioned boys.

We donīt have fans and we donīt belive in them. Fan itīs a word that becomes of "Fanatic" and we donīt like fanatics. We only belive in people who listen andenjoy the music also we belive in groupies (ja,ja,ja).
