Featuring Neron  from Nameless Fear Interview by Ruud Dreessen aka ebm-industrial.nl | 4 januari 2010 14:34

1- For the first question will be - do you know the netherland?
Of course we do, the netherlands are our neighbeours, cause we are from germany

2- Do you follow the electronic music scene, do you have any other favourite bands?
Yes we do, we both are DJ-ing in our Sparetime, so we "have to". Favourite Bands is such a thing, we have many of them, my (Neron) favourites are Xotox, Noisuf-X and Welle:Erdball

3- Greetings Neron could you please shortly introduce our readers your music project Nameless Fear Please fill also a biographical resume about how, when and where...give us a more background information?
- Well, how should i descripe Nameless Fear... I think iīll begin telling you our biography.Nameless Fear exists since July 2007. The first songs were solo-projects of me, but only a few weeks later my best friend Noctar joined the project. Then there was the problem with the name, how should we call us. We had a song called "nameless" (yes, very creative ;) and this song sounds a little bit like fear, so we combined these to words to a new project-name: Nameless Fear, the fear of the unknown, a new thing nobody knows before.
So we started making music, our music is completely made with pc and hardware-synthies as midi-controllers. I have got an old "korg poly 800" and Noctar a "Casio CTK-811 EX". There is no studio, itīs all made at home :D We always say our music should be hard, but with melody.

4- How did you start to make Industrial / Electro / Electronica and what is gothic for you?
- We started making music by ourselfes because we really like harsh sound (but wave and 80īs, too). Gothic... itīs very difficult to describe... I think the most important thing for me is the way of live and accepting other ones. You canīt be "gothic" if you say everything sucks. Gothic is a livestyle without borders, of course you can say you dislike a person or a style, but you shouldnīt generalize your statements. Well, i can write much more to this topic, but i think this goes to far ;)

5- What and who are some of your influences in Industrial / Electro /Electronica ?
- There are so many, it reaches from 80īs wave and rock to noise, industrial, aggro-tech and ambient. Soman, Combichrist and Noisuf-X is a orientation we said we would like for our music-project Nameless Fear.

6- What are your top ten favorite Industrial / Electro / Electronica Club Songs of all time? Who are you influenced by? What would you consider your favorite cd's?

- Of all time... thats not so easy, but i will try it. These songs really influenced me and still do, some of them i havenīt heard for about monthīs, but they are really grate. Okay, lets start ;)

1. Feindflug - Roter Schnee
2. Combichrist - Sex, Drugs and Industrial
3. Dulce Liquido - Antichristianos
4. Kiew - Gabriel
5. Xotox - Mechanische Unruhe
6. Welle:Erdball - Starfighter
7. Suicide Commando - Sterbehilfe
8. Soman - Absolution V2
9. Covenant - Bullet
10. Rammstein - Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen

7- Do you have a favourite track and album?
- My favourite Album was a long long time "Everybody hates you" made by Combichrist, today i would say "Beauty of destruction" by Noisuf-X with the track "Toccata Del Terrore".

8- So tell me a bit more about yourself, such as musical?
- I can only tell you about me, because Noctar is at work, so i will try to tell you:....Okay, no, letīs go to the next question :D

9- By the way do you like my questions? tell me what you think about it!  ;-)
- We havenīt had many interviews, so i have got no comparison, but i like your questions, i only think some of them ask me the same thing^^

10- What is the main idea, the message you want to leave to people who listens to you? What is your motto?
- The main idea is to let people live our music, they should feel the atmosphere. Our main message? We canīt really say we have got one, if we would have one we would tell you: live your life how you want to do, we donīt care :) Our motto is the same thing again ;) We havenīt really got a Band-Motto like xotox (industial music for hyperactive people), but if we create one i will tell you!

11- What’s the name of your band? What’s the origin of that name? Have you changed the band’s name before?
- Oh, i think i have told you before? :D

12- where did the concept come from? and whats planned now that your album is finished? or anything else you're working on? Tell us a few words about the concept of this?
- Our concept is to make music that combines electronic melodies with a very hard background, you should really feel our music. We will finish our first album this year (2010), and then we would like to do some live-acts (our first was in november 2009, it was really great). We both are working on a Wave-Project called "microwave" (no, there arenīt any songs out till now) and i have an soloproject called "empirie", both projects are very young.

13- When's the new album coming out?
- Our first album will come out in 2010.

14-How is the current promotional tour going for supporting this album?
- We havenīt really got a promotion-tour, because itīs our first album, but weīll inform everyone in our friendlist on myspace and every visitor of our homepage (www.namelessfear.de)

15- What do you think of a modern Industrial / Electro / Electronica and about gothic scene?
- I miss good discussions, i know when i started moving in the scene there were many interessting discussions, but today there is so many bullshit-telling o.O I miss people that really life this way of live, there are so many youngsters only going to party on weekend totally overdressed and if you meet them on tuesday the look like everyone else. The scene has become many influences out of the techno-scene, thats no problem, but if am going in an industrial-gothclub i wonīt like to hear scooter :(

16- Our usual question - what is music for you?
- Usual answer ;) Music is life for me. It always had this status and it will ever have.

17- What was your best live experience so far?
- Meeting my girl-friend (soon wife ;) and leaving home^^

18- Please list the name, age, school, and respective instrument of each band member

- Noctar, 21, electronics technician
Midi-Controlling, Ideas, Casio CTK-811 EX

- Neron, 22, IT specialist
Music-Programming, Sampling, Ideas, Midi-Controlling, Korg Poly 800

19-What are your views on the current state of this Industrial / Electro / Electronica scene in Germany .in terms of creativity and audiences? And the scene in other countries?
- I know many of my friends that are very creative, making music, arts, texting,...
I have only met the scene in the USA until now, it was very interesting how the music played in the clubs differences, they played much more horrorpunk and such things over the ocean, so i prefer our clubs in germany ;) Letīs see, this year i will meet the netherlands scene, but what i have heared about your scene is very positive, so i would like to see it by myself

20- you have very nice numbers`.............. tell me about lyrical compositions what you can tell about the done work? How does your music creation process work? How do you create a song?
- The best songs are the songs you make in about 5 hours (without remastering and co). Sometimes it comes over me, i sit there and then i think, oh, let me make a song, i work and work with my pc and synthi and then, oh, what a song, nice ;) Some songs are made another way, really with deep background, we worked about 6 month on the song "nameless fear" and it isnīt really finished, yet. So its very different.

21-What genre of music do you consider your work to be? Who are your major  influences?
- ....Industrial, Aggro-Tech, Electronica, i think that matches our music and that are our influences, too.

22-Since the music industry is more open now to purely electronic music has this made things easier for you?
- I really donīt know, we are very fresh in this business, so we have no experience this way.

23-So what are their main influences as a band at the moment?
- I donīt understand :)

24-What is currently inspiring your material as an artist? tell me all about the Industrial / Electro / Electronica scene of Germany?
- We are inspired by so many things, in music like in everything else. But i think the scene is getting to colourfull, i like colours like neongreen and co, but i think in the goth scene there should be black one of the basic things. Itīs no problem combining colours with black, but only colours look like a parrot. And like they dress is the scene and their thinking, too.

25-Do you think that people from the music press didn't expect you to grow up musically?
- I really donīt know, we havenīt had so much contact with the music press, but if we have i will tell you, okay? ;)

26-what is the key to making music from Nameless Fear and what inspires you to keep growing as a musician?
- The key is to do our own thing, and this keeps us growing. Of course we like others music, but we want to to our own thing, so the project lives on his own like a little child that grows older. Letīs see, maybe there will be an attractive 18th in a few years :)

27-How do you see the future of download / Copyright in area of goth-Industrial / Electro / Electronica music ? What are the best ways to develop it in your mind ?
I am influenced by my job, i think downloading music becomes much more important. The problem with the copyright will be the same, if anyone wants to get a song without paying for it he will get it, but we try to sell our music not too expensive.

28-If there was one thing you want people to know about your band what would that be?
Simply meet us this year, we will have some gigs this year so you will have got the opportunity to do it :)

29-Please let us know about your upcoming plans, some new releases you
like to confirm here

We want our project to live, so there will be a release this year, many new songs and gigs.

32-thanks for your time! great work on the albums and good luck with
everything.any How can fans-to-be gain access to your music? Do you have a

website with sample songs or a demo CD?
They could get acces over Myspace www.fixtonline.com  or on our website www.fixtonline.com , but our homepage will be relaunched at february so there are not so many informations until then.
