The Red Flag website is back up and is full of nice features.
you'll find Red Flag music, photos, articles, interviews, blogs, video clips and a place to post your comments. If you haven't checked it out yet please stop by the http://www.redflag.org and post your own greeting. It would be great to hear from you. As a gift to Red Flag friends there is a free Red Flag ring tone available for download on the website.Be sure to subscribe to the Red Flag newsletter when you go to RedFlag.Org. You never know when the MySpace phenomenon will come to an end and we wouldn't want to lose touch with each other! The new Red Flag album is coming along nicely and we are preparing a couple of tracks to upload to MySpace, EGN, and RedFlag.org as previews. So keep checking back.Following a 4 year absence, Red Flag is recording a new album. After the death of singer, Mark Reynolds, bandmate and brother Chris Reynolds is moving ahead with Red Flag on his own. The soon to be released album promises to have the same signature Red Flag sound listeners appreciate, yet unveils a unique, fresh edge. "Mark and I worked very hard together making Red Flag music but now it'sjust me, " Chris said in a recent interview. " The sound is a true Red Flag sound as true as it can be without my brother Mark."Red Flag made the top 10 Billboard charts in 1988 with their memorable song Russian Radio. The next year Red Flag's debut album, Naive Art, earned them another top 10 single, If I Ever. Red Flag's music became a favorite in dance clubs around the world. MTV put Red Flag's video, Russian Radio, in heavy rotation later that year. Touring extensively, Red Flag played with acts Devo, Thomas Dolby, and Book of Love. They appeared on the TV show American bandstand where they performed Russian Radio.Since then, Red Flag released 11 albums, 14 CD singles, two box sets and appeared on numerous compilations. Their music has been featured on MTV reality shows. The band has played concerts around the world in the U.S., Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Peru. The music of Red Flag has evolved from New Wave Dance synthpop to darker and highly textured industrial melodies. Their work has inspired countless bands and garnered fans around the globe. The untimely death of Mark Reynolds in 2003, brought to a halt the creative output of Red Flag. In time, however, Chris Reynolds has become inspired and has opted to carry on the banner of Red Flag. Chris, acting alone, is the composer, arranger, singer, and producer of Red Flag's yet to be named new album. "Given good exposure, this album will take the world by storm when I release it." he said. "The time was right for me to write again. I kept coming up with these vivid melodies and great ideas for new songs kept coming to me. I'd find myself waking up in the middle of the night to compose elements of the songs before I forgot them. I'm almost finished with all the tracks and it rocks!"

Red Flag's album is expected to release by summer.  redflag

Brainclaw News
Brainclaw has just released a brand new single, available free for downloading on the Brainclaw Website. It is an electro goth cover of the classic seventies ballad by Gordon Lightfoot called "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald."It is especially cool because goth cabaret sensation Miss Nicki Jaine performed the vocals on the track, with accompaniment by Tara and David.Nicki Jaine also performs a haunting melody line on a strange and oft-misunderstood instrument-the musical saw. It sounds like an old analog synthesizer, spooking up the choruses in the song. Philadelphia's own Kyle Cassidy appears on electric guitar as well.A new Brainclaw remix has been selected to appear on the latest Interbreeding CD compilation from BLC Productions.Interbreeding IX: Kuru will be a double CD set, available internationally, and will contain an exclusive remix of Brainclaw's "The Temporal Tide (Infantivore Remix)."Look for it soon in stores and online.
BLC Music  Brainclaw will be doing a brand-new interview with Regen Magazine this week, so look for that to appear on Regen's website sometime soon..Ilker Yücel of Regen Magazine has created a menacing new remix of the title track from the Dead Monsters CD,which will make its debut soon on the MUSIC page of the Brainclaw Website, probably within two weeks or so.Look for it! There is a new section on the Brainclaw Website called FREE STUFF where you can now download Brainclaw-themed wallpapers/desktop images for your Mac and PC. There will soon be more,by several well-known graphic designers and photographers who have expressed interest in contributing to the project.John Ruszin of Collinwood 13 fame has created a balls-to-the-wall remix of the title track of the Dead Monsters CD. It's called Dead Monsters (The Flesh Mix) and takes this song to a whole other level of ass-kicking.

Tara and David got to fulfill a lifelong dream, and were able to hang out backstage with electro music pioneer Thomas Dolby! After Dolby's stunning live performance, they were ushered backstage by new friends Jim Balent and Holly G,creative geniuses in their own right.Thomas was a wonderful man, and they all spent some time talking electronic music, animal rescue and future plans. There was even talk of a Thomas Dolby remix of a Brainclaw song! It was a fabulous night for all.Television scientist Richard Heene, who is busy creating a new science show called "The Science Detective," selected no less than SEVEN Brainclaw songs to appear in the first episode of the new series, called "The Tornado-Seeking Rocket." You can go and see the trailer for the new show HERE:  vids.myspace.com

Be sure to take time and leave a positive comment for Richard after you watch the video! Brainclaw is currently engaged in production work on a new song for Philadelphia band Divers Lust. The song, "Doctor Faustus," is going to be a dark, EBM meets gothrock flavored piece. Check out Divers Lust MySpace page for more songs! myspace.com/diverslust

Finally, work continues apace on the new Brainclaw CD..look for this more aggressive new Brainclaw offering in late 2007! As always, we couldn't do it with out you. Please keep spreading the word on every blog, journal and website you can post news to.Now is a vital time for Brainclaw, and the more of you who can do reviews, interviews and post our news the better! With clear minds, warm hearts and serving hands,Tara and David of Brainclaw If you'd like to opt out of all of this Brainclaw nonsense, just reply to this message and put UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject or body of your email. We will instantly remove you from the list.Of course,we will then be forced to deploy Fox the mutant zombie kitten to your house..Just joking about the mutant zombie part..he's alive and well.Read his story here:brainclaw.com/fox/
