Thanks Jimmy Sterner that you have found time to give answers to these questions,so tell me a bit more about yourself,such as Labelmanager?
Well, let´s see.I started the label Cynical Minds Recordings in 2008.I felt that there was a need and a place for a label such as mine.Before that I´d been running different labels around other muscial styles of electronic music,such as techno,house and electro.Cynical Minds Recordings was my return home to where I once origined,the synth scene.Back in the 80's we were all dressed in black and lining up outside different underground parties that focused on our first love synth music (can be called by many names),Cynical is a way to bring that very same feeling of solidarity into the present....
Tell one secret about yourself or the Cynical Minds Recordings that you have never told to anyone? Well if I tell I guess it´s no secret anymore ,so just by telling I would falsify the question,right? how and why did you come about starting Cynical Minds Recordings? what else inspires you to create? Cynical Minds Recordings?
Well the thing that ignited the beginning of Cyncial Minds Recordings was that I realized that there was something missing out there.A void that needed to be filled.There´s a lot of talent out there that needs to be manged and catalysed,I aim for Cynical to be that catalysator.
The duality of life makes me creative.By that I mean that there´s a dynamic relationship between all our feelings and their very opposite.This dynamic relationship pushes us forward as beings.It´s the basis of the creative force that we harness inside.
The name Cynical Minds Recordings has historical reasons, in the 90's I started a publishing complany called Cynical Publishing and so Cynical Minds Recordings fitted well.There´s also another reason, that is the cyninism that is present within the music industry and a reflection upon that.I believe that Cynical is one of the least cynical labels out there, we really care for our artists and the love of the music we release..
what find do you of digital download?
Digital download is a neccessity.There´s some people out there that buy all their music digitally and we want to give them possibility to buy our stuff and support our cause.But all in all I personally love vinyl and CD,anything physical that I can hold and smell.But as said,we can´t stop progression.We release our records on microSD as well.
Presently our label is featured on about 150 different download platforms (all from iTunes to Amazon to audiojelly)

Let's talk about your band The selfcentered spacecadet / Captain Orange or anything else you're working on with this bands?
The selfcentered spacecadets is the first band that released on Cynical Minds Recordings.The sound is dark and lustful.The band has been around in different shapes for about 5 years and have now landed in a core troup of members,borrowing in and collaborating with others on a need basis.
The songs and lyrics of The selfcentered spacecadet pays homage to the bittersweet paths of life.They tell stories of love,desire,lust and pain.In every sense the very essence of life.
Captain Orange is the second band to sign up with Cynical Minds Recordings.The sound is futurepop with gothic undertones.Captain Orange manages to balance a sound composed with a tint of synthpop brilliance and a tint of cynical darkness,topped off with perfect vocals.
Cynical Minds Recordings is currently in the signing phase with two other acts within the same genre.Once the contracts are signed it will be revealed !
what think you about old school EBM there many Swedish bands? can you this bands from Zweden Sturm Cafe.Autodafeh.Kommando XY.Kraft.Agrezzior?
I Think there´s a lot of really good Swedish band in any genre.But reflecting on the ones you mentioned I think that their really good in their genre.
I have a friend from breda in the Netherlands he callend Guerrilla Rob is a Dutch EBM project.After Otto (Defecto Nagrobek) joined the project as frontsinger from zweden know you them?
I don´t know them personally,sorry.Listened to them though (Defecto Nagrobek),brought my thoughts back to D.A.F (and the album Fur Immer)

What are your views on the current state of the electro scene in Zweden in terms of creativity and audiences? And the scene in other countries?
Well the scene needs some new energy when it comes to the whole setting of things.I think that there is a revival as well as a new generation emerging so this is just a paradigm shift into a more entwined electronic music scene.I have a massive amount of faith in the scene as a whole.I think there´s a lot of creative people out there,it´s just about bringing us together around a common denominator,something like Cynical Minds Recordings.You´re all welcome to join our family...

you have very nice album from the band Captain Orange-Miss Grey tell me about lyrical compositions what you can tell about the done work? How does your music creation process work? How do you create a song? Out of all of your albums,which album would you say is your favoritealbum? Why?
I can´t answer these questions, you have to adress these to the band i question.I can however answer the same questions for The selfcentered spacecadet since Im the creative force in that band (but in Captain Orange it´s Stefan and Torbjörn).
What is currently inspiring your material as an Labelmanager?
My belif in the scene and of course life and how it progresses,we need to make a footprint in the fabric of time.How did you come up with the name of your band,Cynical Minds Recordings? and your new name Cynical Minds Recordings and what is the key to making music from all this bands? and what inspires you to keep growing as a Labelmanager?

Cynical Minds is the collective force behind great minds. I have no spare time

What do you think of its intermingling with the synth/electronic music scenes? while electro is your main musical pallet,what other music do you listen to?
I listen to all kinds of music.I think you can derive inspiration from all different genres of music as well as any other experience that entails emotional reaction.(ie movies, love, hate, lust, sex so on...)
How long have you been in the music industry and how has it changed over time? Now I have to ask,what's the inspiration for the Cynical Minds Recordings story?
I´ve been involved with electronic music since 1989 (when I released my first 7” single)...since then I´ve been producing electronic music under different names and has released about 30 records or so and about the same amout of remixes of other artists.
Can you tell us something about the beginnings of Cynical Minds Recordings how and why did you begin to listened music? Why various electronic styles?
I began listening to music and making music,producing music and releasing music beacause of a need to do so.It filled a void in my being.It became as essential as water to me.
tell us about your unique style of music and who are your major influences? Where do you typically get your inspiration for this bands?
The inspiration for The selfcentered spacecadet called comes from the paradoxes of life and mainly from the tention between feeling good,doing good and being good.
For my label, I just sign up band I like myself, bands that can be a part of desribing a part of reality (fluffy I know)...
Are you working on any current or future projects?
