Naukilot
Diary of Dream and Yazoo lovers, prepare for this.Naukilot is on their way to get the darkwave/electro scene to love them.Their new MCD is called Love and Tragedies.I do have to say that this is an explicit cd in the night time of when driving long country roads. It comforts you when listening to it.You could say that it’s a lot like the new wave from the 80’s, but then with newer sounds. So just sit back and relax the synthie lines from Naukilot.Although the singer hits a few wrong notes, and the music can be a little too slow, there is always a next song which wakes you up.As said before, they search up the narrow lines between the darkwave á la DoD and the electro coming from Yazoo (history to some). And this all together creates a fine MCD.Originality points are a bit up.But the quality is a bit off. This, simply due to the tone of the singer. After some time listening to it, you can hear his dedication sink a little. He sounds from confident to a lot less confident. But that could just be me.All said, Naukilot has created a very nice crossover between darkwave, synthpop and electro.

Niegrzecna Pensjonarka
What can I say about the Polish band Niegrzecna Pensjonarka? Hmmn, this is a tough one.Their CD Instalacje Dramatyczne can not be called, Ambient, neither can it be called powernoize. So let’s just call this: the top of Experimental! When listening to this, the sounds can really create images in your mind. It’s totally not my type of ‘music’, but it does create a sphere of horrid thoughts. The raw sounds, the samples of text in between. It could come out of the most gruesome horror movie ever. There are some real powernoize songs on the CD, the rhythm in these songs is stomping, and literally ‘industrial’.You can almost see the cranes moving. From one side to another, with the pinching sounds of rusted steel being bent. The sounds of this band (a lot shorter than the name) are raw..Chains here, a man talking through speakers there. It really is a construction site from Hell.
