01- For the first question will be - Thanks XMH that you have found time to give answers to these questions,How are you doing?
We're doing very well, thank you. At this moment these are exciting times for XMH. We just finished recording the last songs for the new album State Of Mind, we just got signed to one of Germany's most important labels Danse Macabre, the artwork for the cd is also finished, mixing is in it's final stages. so a lot of things to look forward to.

02-Hello XMH what noise do you make in XMH ?

XMH are:

Benjamin Samson - vocals, songwriting
Isa Garcia - vocals, keyboards
Pieter Sperling - keyboards, programming

03-How's the start of 2010 been for you thus far?
2010 kicked off with a show at Cyberia

in Utrecht, and shows in Belgium. But most of the time we have been finishing the last songs for the new album. And we've been negotiating with several european and american recordlabels.

04-your new cd is being recorded at the Implant Studio in Belgium and will be produced by Len Lemeire (Implant, 32Crash, Anne Clark).tell me about this?
Our good friends from XP8 told us about the good work Len delivered for their cd. We got in touch with Len and we first asked him to do a remix for us from the track Rape Your God. We liked the result very much and that's how he became the producer for our new album. Besides he doesn't live not that far away from us so it's easy for us to go there to record our songs over there.

05-For a lot of people, this is probably going to be their first full introduction to XMH so how about you tell us a little bit about how you guys know each other and how the band came together?
XMH is started by me (Benjamin Samson) end of 2005. Some time later I asked Pieter Sperling to join me for live shows and he has become a permanent member of XMH since then. Our manager Wim de Nooyer (Terra Gotha festivals) came up with the idea of adding female vocals to some of the songs. After a few line-up changes we now have Isa Garcia on (background)vocals and keyboards.

06- Do you follow the electronic music Electro / Industrial / Gothic do you have any other favourite bands?
The band that made us want to start a band is Hocico, we don't try to sound like them but we aim to bring that same energy on stage.

07-How is your relationship with other electronic bands?
Very good, we often meet other bands who come to see our shows and we always get lots of compliments on our shows. As this is a small scene we always try to help and support other bands rather than compete with them.

09- The video is directed by belgian producer Sven Togni (Faith And The Muse) tell me more about this video and Furthermore a video from the song WasteD tell me about this?
Director Sven Togni is a good friend of our manager Wim de Nooyer, so it was really easy to get him for the job.

10-What did you guys do for a living before XMH?
Well, we still have to make a living. Isa and I have out daytime jobs and Pieter is at college.

13- What are the future plans for XMH ?
We hope to play as often as possible in Europe, we hope the deal with Danse Macabre will open some doors for us.

14- Tell me about your signed to the german Danse Macabre label, home of bands such as KMFDM, Das Ich, Faith And The Muse and many others?
Many lables from Europe and USA heard about our first selfreleased album 'Time To Play'and they were all knocking on our doors. We choose Danse Macabre because they gave us total freedom in our music, image etc which is really important to us

16- By the way do you like my questions? tell me what you think about it! ;-)
What, no multiple choice questions?  :-)

17- What is the main idea, the message you want to leave to people who listens to you? What is your motto?
We are not about to bring a message to the people, all we want is for them to have a good time

18- What’s the name of your band? where did the name come from? or what's the story behind the band name?
The name comes from the Xenomorph (from Aliens movie), but with a google search we found already 3 other bands with that name. So we just took a few letters from the word Xenomorph.

19-If people don't know what you and your music are about, how would you describe XMH ?
Powerfull, energetic and danceable

20- The new album 'State Of Mind' will be released early May 2010 where did the concept come from? and whats planned now that your album is finished? or anything else you're working on? Tell me why this title,'State Of Mind' Tell us a few words about the concept of this?
The releasedate is 14 May 2010. Once released we will be back on the road again to promote the album so if any promoters read this feel free to contact us at bookings@xmh-music.nl

The cd title refers to the lyrics on the album, it's all about peoples' sick state of mind.

21- The cd artwork is in the hands of Olivier Haecker, also responsible for the :Wumpscut: artwork.its very cool tell me about this?
We really want the new cd to be exactly how we want it to be. Everything had to be perfect. Songs, production and also the artwork. We contacted him because we liked his work for other bands. He quicklu caught on on the ideas we had for the new cd. It's a pleasure working with Olivier.
